Wealth Management Becoming a Hot Area in Nigeria

Typically the fintechs in Africa getting a lot of attention center around those focusing on payments; however Quartz reports that increasingly wealthtech or those focusing on wealth management are garnering attention; some of these platforms are helping younger generations access foreign stocks and other assets in a much easier way; one example is a company called Rise which first started in real estate but now sees strong demand for stocks; another company called Bamboo lets their 10,000 users access US equities and launched back in October 2019; Quartz provides more details about Nigerian investors, the Nigerian Stock Exchange and the challenges they face in accessing stocks.
