TrueLayer Strikes Open Banking Deal With UK Government

The UK government has added TrueLayer to its Payment Acceptance Framework meaning it can now provide payments for goods and services without credit or debit cards; this could potentially save the financially excluded populations in the UK millions of pounds a year in fees; any government organization can now use TrueLayer’s tech to accept payments via its Payments API; CEO and Founder, Francesco Simoneschi, said, “Widening the way people can make and receive payments from the Government is very important. A significant number of individuals simply don’t have access to credit and debit cards. This can essentially lock them out of a lot of public and business services.” Altfi
