Should We Gamify Banking?

In his latest column Chris Skinner asks the question about whether we should gamifying banking; his thoughts on the topic have evolved over time as he used to be a supporter of trying to make banking more fun; but the key to this is to make the “game” authentic and more importantly it needs to be good for the customer; the problem is that it is very easy to gamify to push customers into credit and get them to borrow more which is not a healthy outcome; you want to create a game where customers can save more and borrow less but the challenge with that is it is more difficult to monetize.
