Over the past few weeks Robinhood has been in the news multiple times as their platform failed to hold up during times of market volatility; now Robinhood has said that they have strengthened their infrastructure and they hope to rebuild trust with their customers; Robinhood is evaluating compensating customers who were impacted on a case-by-case basis; an email posted by CNBC read, “We’d like to start with the apology you deserve: We’re sorry for the recent outage on our platform. Your support is what helps us democratize finance for all, and we know we owe it to you to do better…An apology alone won’t rebuild your trust in us. Instead, we hope our actions will.” CNBC
