Robinhood Makes Education Changes After User’s Suicide

Robinhood has announced they are expanding options-trading educational content and hiring a specialist to further assist users; the news comes after news broke of a 20-year-old customer who died by suicide thinking he incurred losses of over $730,000; “We are considering additional criteria and education for customers seeking level 3 options authorization to help ensure customers understand more sophisticated options trading,” Founders Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt said in a statement according to Business Insider; they have not yet rolled out a timeline for the changes, the founders are also making a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
