Ripple May Seek an IPO Within 12 Months

Speaking in Davos at the World Economic Forum, the CEO of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, shared that an IPO would be a “natural evolution for the company”; while he made no firm predictions he did say this, “I think over the next 12 months you’re definitely going to see IPOs in the crypto, blockchain space. I’m not sure we want to be first but we certainly don’t want to be last either, so I expect we’ll be on the leading side of that, not the lagging side”; the San Francisco-based startup recently raised $200 million at a $10 billion valuation.
