OakNorth Bank Tops the FT 1000 Fastest Growing Companies in Europe

OakNorth Bank has taken the top spot on the FT’s annual list of the 1,000 fastest growing companies in Europe; the list in now in its fourth year and is compiled in combination with the Financial Times and Statista; the be considered for the list companies needed a minimum growth rate of 38.4 percent, compared to 37.7 percent last year; Germany counted the most winners on the list with Italy, the UK and France following closely; Toby Coppel, Partner at Mosaic Ventures, a London-based venture capital firm, tells the FT there has never been a better time to build a start-up; “The European start-up ecosystem continues to mature,” he says. “There are many more successful companies like Spotify where the next generation of founders are trained and then leave to start-up the next company, often with former colleagues to start something new.” Financial Times
