NYSE Closes Floor and Goes All Digital on Monday

The New York Stock Exchange, operated by Intercontinental Exchange, has decided to go all digital and close the trading floor starting Monday; Stacey Cunningham, President of the New York Stock Exchange, issued the following statement according to Crowdfund Insider: “NYSE’s trading floors provide unique value to issuers and investors, but our markets are fully capable of operating in an all-electronic fashion to serve all participants, and we will proceed in that manner until we can re-open our trading floors to our members.”; Big Board floor broker order types will temporarily not be available and the NYSE said they will monitor the situation closely so they can deem the appropriate time to reopen.
