Large Retailers Accepting Bitcoin but Won’t Talk About It

A Forbes reporter shares a story about accompanying Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss on a trip to Starbucks; using a beta version of a new app called Spedn, Cameron was able to successfully make a purchase at Starbucks and noted, “We’re finally realizing the promise of crypto in payments”; however, none of the retailers participating are willing to speak on the record about the news; despite this, it’s clear that some big companies are accepting bitcoin, ether, litecoin, bitcoin cash, cash and the Gemini Dollar; numerous receipts were sent to Forbes as proof of crypto purchases at Game Stop, Bed Bath & Beyond and Whole Foods among others.
