JPMorgan Chase and Grubhub Strike Partnership

JPMorgan Chase and Grubhub have struck a partnership to allow delivery drivers to instantly access earnings; the product is similar to services offered by competitors but if a driver has a Chase account they can get unlimited cash outs for free; the program started with a pilot in late 2019 and is now seeing hundreds of thousands of monthly transactions; “We lead the real-time payments space and it’s a prime example of one of the innovations that we believe will bring a huge benefit to our clients and to our clients’ clients,” Lia Cao, Global Head of Wholesale Payment Solutions at JPMorgan, said in an interview with Business Insider; drivers are charged a $0.50 fee each time they cash out if they do not have a Chase bank account.
