Jamie Dimon Says Crisis is a Wake-Up Call for Fairer Economy

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon says the current crisis is a wake up call for both government and business to build a fairer economy; “This crisis must serve as a wake-up call and a call to action for business and government to think, act and invest for the common good and confront the structural obstacles that have inhibited inclusive economic growth for years,” said Mr Dimon according to the FT; Chase was amongst a handful of banks that received criticism for their actions with the Paycheck Protection Program where large public companies received some of the funding; Dimon says the bank has provided assistance to more than 1.5 million accounts who were struggling; Dimon said he he looked forward to “sharing more ideas soon” on how to create a more inclusive recovery.
