Government Shutdown Beginning to Impact Fintechs

As the partial government shutdown enters its second month, the impact is beginning to effect the fintech industry, from both a regulatory standpoint or customer perspective. Fintech startups looking to go public via an initial public offering or those needing a sign-off from regulators are seeing those efforts delayed. Lawmakers are scheduled to vote on dueling proposals Thursday (January 24) but optimism is low that it will result in the reopening of the government. Source
