Goldman Sachs May Power Future of Lending at Amazon

Amazon has been in the lending business since 2011; after growing quite significantly from 2015 to 2016 they have more recently slowed growth in order to take a measured approach to the business line; however last year the Financial Times shared that Amazon might be looking to ramp up the business as they hired across the US, Asia and Europe; now sources report that Amazon is going to be working with Goldman Sachs on their small business lending arm; the partnership would further Goldman’s ambitions of becoming a banking as a service provider.
