Fintech Lenders Can Finally Apply to be Part of the PPP

It has been ten days since we learned that fintech lenders would be authorized to make loans for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP); however when the program launched last Friday it wasn’t possible for a non-SBA lender to be included; last night the SBA sent out a notice sharing that fintech lenders can apply through an application posted on the Treasury website; questions about the program were also clarified through an updated FAQ document; Funding Circle has already submitted their application and many other fintech lenders have stated they plan to apply including Kabbage, BlueVine and OnDeck.
