Fintech Adoption Rates in the US and Canada Lag Many Countries

Across the world there are many success stories of small startups becoming large fintech companies in a variety of areas; consumers in some regions are quick to trust these new companies; the Global Fintech Adoption Index 2019, issued by EY, found that fintech services have doubled every two years since 2015; awareness of alternative fintech money transfer and payment services reached 96% worldwide; not surprisingly China and India have among the highest rates of adoption at 87%; the lowest adoption rates were in Japan at 34% and France at 35%; The US and Canada came in at 46% and 50% respectively.
