Financial Regulators Begin to Closely Monitor Cloud Based Services

As more financial services firms beginning using Google, Amazon and Microsoft for cloud based services regulators are starting to take notice; there are concerns that these companies don’t have the same oversight and yet they are storing a lot of the banks information; the Bank of England is looking to test banks capacity to operate if access to the cloud is interrupted and the OCC is reviewing banks relationships with third party vendors.
