Facebook Helps to Boost Bitcoin Back Above $10,000

Bitcoin was back above $10,000 for the first time in more than a year as the digital currency saw a boost from the Facebook news; investors have been buying bitcoin in hope that Facebook’s Libra coin could push the market into the mainstream; “Smart money and institutions have certainly begun to come in,” said John Patrick Mullin, a cryptocurrency investor and blockchain consultant in Hong Kong, to the Wall Street Journal; the hype is not there this time which could bode well for the currency, last time after it went above $10,000 is was quickly up to the high of $20,000 before crashing down over the next few months; overall market news has been good as some big banks started coins or have indicated work on blockchain projects.
