European Banks Failing to Meet PSD2 Deadlines

According to new research by open banking platform provider Tink 41 percent of European banks failed to meet the latest PSD2 deadline; the most recent deadline was earlier this month and required banks to set up a testing environment for third-party providers; the research covered 442 banks in 10 markets; the missing of one deadline now puts future deadlines at risk, such as the September 14 deadline to allow fintechs to access bank APIs; banks need to work better with their fintech partners and work more closely with regulators so they can ensure they stick to the timeline.
