Europe Consumers Want the Latest Technology from their Banks but are Concerned About Security

A new report by Dutch bank ING says 69 percent of consumers expect their bank to provide the latest technology but 62 percent say they are not comfortable with automated investment tools; 52 percent of Britons are not aware of PSD2 and 64 percent said they would not be happy to use this service; those who have used open banking take less risks with their money and are more apt to stay on top of their balances; ING behavioural scientist Jessica Exton tells AltFi, “it is possible that the uptake of services such as automatically generated advice for budgeting and even investing could be rapid. That was the experience with the uptake of mobile banking.” Source.
