Element Ventures Launches with ICAP Founder Michael Spencer

A new fintech fund in London has received a big endorsement and investment from former ICAP founder Michael Spencer who invested at least £25m; the fund will focus their investments on companies that help streamline processes in financial markets; “The financial services industry is undergoing greater change than I have ever seen in my 40-year career in the markets,” said Mr Spencer to the FT. “The opportunities are simply enormous. I’ve worked with Steve Gibson and Michael Mcfadgen before and have an enormous amount of time for them, so I am pleased to back Element and I believe it will become one of the UK’s leading venture firms.”; the new fund will be adding capital to one of the hottest fintech markets in the world and is home to some of the best companies disrupting finance.
