David Marcus Leads Facebook into Financial Services

David Marcus is the leading force at Facebook who has helped to launch the Libra Project; Facebook’s blockchain lead says while the internet has changed a lot for the world money has stayed almost the same; since joining in 2014 Marcus has been tasked with changing their messenger products and more recently to drive the social media giant into financial services; with much fanfare last week the company announced their intentions for the Libra coin that included a stellar team of blockchain engineers that was pulled together by Marcus in the last 18 months; there are still a lot of questions surrounding the project, in particular from regulators, but there is also a ton of potential to help those most left behind by the current financial structure.
