Cushion Relaunches with Fresh Capital and Infrastructure

Cushion is a fintech startup that helps customers to lower the fees they pay to their financial institutions; the app brings in a users bank account history to determine what fees have been paid and negotiates on their behalf to get a full or partial refund; the company initially launched in 2016 but ran into issues when using another popular fintech Plaid; the company instead built their own infrastructure and relaunched in late 2018 and just announced a new round of capital from 9Yards Capital, Flourish, Green Cow Venture Capital and Vestigo Ventures; the company hopes to expand product offerings in the future but is now determined to help customers lower the fees they pay for banking.
