Chinese Authorities Search Region for P2P Fraudsters

Operation Fox Hunt is the coordinated effort by Chinese police to search the region to find p2p fraudsters as the government continues their crackdown on the market; so far the operation has helped find more than 62 people in 16 countries with over $1.5bn in assets being frozen; by the end of 2019 there could be about 50 platforms left, this would be down from a high of more than 2,000 just a couple of years ago; investigators believe that some executives have fled overseas to avoid paying back investors.
