BNY Mellon Makes Commitment to Digital

BNY Mellon is one of the oldest banks in New York; Roman Regelman who is head of digital at the bank shares his thoughts with American Banker on how they are embracing digital; rather than creating an innovation program within the bank or running a digital bank alongside the legacy bank, they are pursuing a third strategy of “digitizing this bank”; they are looking to make every product, employee and client interaction powered digitally; to do this BNY is using the latest technologies alongside partnerships; Regelman walks through some of the improvements they are making, such as how they are dealing with the 12,000 faxes that come in per day and legacy contracts which were signed up to 100 years ago.
