Banks Embracing Open Source Collaboration

Banks have traditionally tried to keep their intellectual property secret, but as the digital world innovators they have started to embrace open source collaboration; a new consortium called FINOS, or the Fintech Open Source Foundation includes some of the biggest banks as well as tech companies; open source develops software that is written in an open collaborative way; by allowing code to be used inside and outside, banks will increase their chances of using different types of partners and ensuring they stay ahead of the curve.
