A Few UK Fintechs Who are Happy to See 2020

2019 was another great year for the fintech market overalls but not all companies saw success in 2019; AltFi takes a look at five fintech firms who were very happy to see the calendar turn to 2020; Funding Circle has seen their stock price continue to fall, though they did get a 10 percent bump in October, and an internal review found investors were waiting more than 16 weeks to withdraw cash; Metro Bank saw their Chairman and CEO leave after their accounting mishap which they are still awaiting the outcome of a regulatory probe; Growth Street also saw them departure of their CEO and the fintech had to cut 30 percent of their workforce due to a company restructuring; Funding Options was rumored to be in crisis meetings for months which eventually led to a host of executives leaving the company including Founder Conrad Ford.
